Teamwork

At the Platinum Trading Academy, we talk a lot about teamwork, but what does that actually mean? All our business units are made up of teams from different divisions, often working from multiple offices. Within those teams, everyone has their areas of expertise but the overall responsibility for each and every client is shared to enhance the performance for our clients.

For this to work, all our people have to be able to work flexibly and collaboratively. It creates a flat organizational structure, where everyone’s point of view is valid (even the newest members of staff), and ideas can come from anywhere.

Team Australia

Roger Mullan, Director | Managing Partner

Roger Mullan is a financial services market professional with over 20 years experience dealing in the investment markets. Over the course of his career Roger has worked for various global and local financial organisations including the AMP Society, Quantum Securities, Rivkin Broking Group, Global Forex Trading (GFT), Atlantic Pacific Securities and smaller boutique Australian Trading firms. Roger was also National Training Coach to over 200 advisors at Foxtel for some 6 years and so is well positioned to coach and mentor others.

Roger began his trading career trading futures and indexes and then turned to the foreign exchange markets in 2007. Roger likes to specializes in the short and medium term trading of predominantly G10 currency pairs and has a trading style focused on relative value and price action.

Roger is fully compliant with RG146 – Dip Fin Services 1, 3,4 and Foreign Exchange Diploma and is licensed by ASIC to provide General Advice in Foreign Exchange under Australian Financial Service License # 244 315

David Skelton | General Manager

David started his career in financial services as a financial
planner. He worked with a number of firms before ultimately joining Sealcorp and becoming the in house advisor at the accounting firm Ernst and Young.

He later moved into funds management and worked with Armstrong Jones (now part of ING) and Merrill Lynch (now known as Blackrock) in a variety of business management roles. At Merrill Lynch he was in charge of the retail funds management business which had assets in excess of $10 billion under management.

Since leaving Merrill Lynch David has consulted to a number of boutique fund management firms and been an active independent trader with a bias to the forex market.

Justine Mullan | Client Services

Justine has 20 plus years in a corporate environment starting her career at Macquarie Bank in Sydney. She further progressed over the years to managing the operations for Client floors at Blake Dawson Lawyers (now Ashurst), Credit Suisse Insurance Australia Group (IAG) and most recently back at Macquarie Investment Bank.

Client service has always been a passion of Justine’s and she’s had proven experience in building excellent client service teams, managing operations, contract management and implementing new systems and processes in her division.

Apart from Justine’s ability to deal with people on all levels she has a passion for striving for excellence, confidently managing operations and a desire to continue learning whilst providing quality client service.

Leanne Platts | Client Services

Leanne is a highly competent and skilled financial services professional. holding a Diploma of Financial Planning (FNS50611).

She has held Portfolio Manager positions at Provident Super Strategies and Continuum Wealth Planning and has previously held positions in Client Services for other financial service organisations.

She is passionate about financial strategies, trading the markets and ensuring 100% client satisfaction.
