Lee had started trading in 2010 after coming to the realisation that he no longer wanted to be part of the 9 to 5 rat race. Lee left school with not much of an academic education and never went to college or university. At the age of 27, he was fortunate enough to stumble across forex trading which very quickly became his major passion.
His trading life didn’t exactly go according to plan though, three years later, and £35,000 spent in the retail sector on trading courses and trading programmes. He still wasn’t making any headway on his trading journey. All that changed when he joined Platinum trading in 2013.
Lee very quickly took to the Platinum methodology and implemented what he was instructed to do by his Platinum trader mentor. Lee began to excel in his trading, and by 2014, Lee was emailing trade suggestions to his mentor which were in turn passed on to me Nirav Shah. I called Lee and was very taken aback by his, commitment, discipline and how much he had spent on his trading education and still stuck at it. After a number of calls and very impressive trading results, I decided to mentor Lee personally and offered him a position as a trader mentor. Once on board, Lee’s drive, commitment and passion for the markets and Platinum trading was overwhelming. It wasn’t long before I offered him a partner position in the company as I could see what a great resource for Platinum and for our clients having Lee on board would be.
Lee’s story is a journey that is open to any of you. Reading this, Lee has all the main characteristics of what it takes to be a winning trader. Discipline, commitment, passion, drive and a clear vision for him and his family.
Lee is now living the vision he had for himself five years ago. If you asked him – do you think you would make partner in a trading company when he first set out at 27. He probably would have said “No” but as Lee says to his clients, you have to believe it before you see it. When Lee joined Platinum, he gained that belief and is now living the vision he created for himself and his family.
